Just a few weeks after unveiling the Alfieri Concept at Geneva, Maserati surprised the attendees at the 2014 New York International Auto Show by unveiling two GranTurismo Centennial Editions, a coupe and a convertible. The Centennial Edition models will be available in three new “three layer” color schemes in addition to the four already available for the GranTurismo MC.

The luxurious Rolls-Royce Ghost will see significant technological, along with less dramatic aesthetic changes in its new incarnation, the Ghost Series II. On the outside of the car, you’ll notice that the Ghost’s front end has been updated with new LED headlights and daytime running lights, along with bumpers which enhance the wide stance of the vehicle.

Just a couple of days ago, Land Rover revealed their impressive new Discovery Vision Concept, but all we had to share was some still images and descriptions of how some of the whiz-bang technology worked. Land Rover has since released a series of short videos which explain the interior and exterior design, as well as the multitude of high-tech features of the vehicle.

Audi has announced a new edition of its high-performance RS7 which will premiere at the New York International Auto Show this week: the RS7 Dynamic Edition. Featuring the RS7’s standard 560hp twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine, the Dynamic Edition will carry over the standard model’s blistering performance; like its 0-to-60 time of just 3.7 seconds and combine it with an exclusive performance-oriented suspension.

After teasing us and with its innovative Transparent Bonnet technology, Land Rover has taken wraps off of its latest concept vehicle, the Discovery Vision Concept. The full-size SUV is designed to establish a future direction for not just a single vehicle, but a full line of Discovery vehicles.

Mercedez-Benz’s SL series roadster gets an update, with the SL 350 going the way of the dodo and a new model called the SL 400 Sport coming in as the entry level model of the line.

A short while back, Lexus showed off its LF-NX concept crossover. Now it’s ready to put the vehicle into its production lineup. The Lexus NX series will be the first compact crossover for the Japanese luxury automaker. 

Land Rover is showing off an amazing new “transparent bonnet” technology that allows the driver to virtually “see through” the hood of the Land Rover SUV to the ground underneath. The combination of grille-mounted cameras and a heads-up display allows the driver to see the terrain directly in front of the vehicle, which would otherwise be obscured by the hood, and even the direction of the front wheels.

During a recent media event in China, Maserati invited guests and journalists to put its shiny new Ghibli S Q4 to the test on the snow and ice. It’s only appropriate since the whole thing was done during the 2014 Harbin Ice and Snow Festival.

We’ve seen ample images and promotional videos of the BMW i8, and even managed to walk around one up close and personal on more than one occasion. But this B-roll driving footage of the car gives us a chance to see the car as it takes to the road, devoid of the glossy music and voiceovers of other footage we’ve seen.

XCAR takes us behind the scenes of David Brown Automotive and gives us a look at their first vehicle, a retro-style, Aston Martin influenced luxury sportscar. The Speedback is an elegant Gran Tourer built on the Jaguar XK platform, powered by an ample V8, and loaded with elegant interior touches, including handmade wood veneers, rich full-grain leather and real metal accents.

What you’re looking at here is what is currently claimed to be the “world’s most expensive Tesla Model S.” While the $123,770 price tag on a fully-tricked out Model S from the factory is nothing to sneeze at, the modders at T Sportline managed to add over $82,000 to that price.

We’re already big fans of the Jaguar F-Type Roadster around here, and can’t wait until we can get our grubby little mitts on the coupe version when it’s released later this year. In the mean time, we’ll have to live vicariously through other reviewers who’ve already managed to score some time behind the wheel.
