Aston Martin has announced a special edition of the already very special DBS Superleggera. The car is meant to celebrate the 50th birthday of the James Bond film “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.” Only 50 of the cars will be built and sold, with deliveries starting in Q4 2019.

Aston Martin has unveiled the fastest convertible sports car it has ever made. It’s called the DBS Superleggera Volante, and is the Volante (convertible) form of the already available DBS Superleggera coupe. That said, power comes from the same 5.2-liter V12 engine making 715 bhp and 663 lb-ft.

Aston fans thinking about a Vantage S might want to hold onto their wallets and wait for the new DBS Superleggera, a sexy new beast from the UK luxury performance automaker. Based on the already quite capable DB11, the Superleggera looks simply spectacular, with its gaping mouth open to drink massive amounts of air into its engine bay, and its wide haunches ready to pounce.
