Chevrolet Silverado

If you were to show the front end of the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD to a bunch of auto journalists, most of them would find something to dislike about the truck’s front end. The new design has certainly polarized car guys and gals who either find it attractive or hideous, with few in between.

Late last year, Hennessey Performance rolled out its very cool and crazy expensive Velociraptor 6×6. That truck started as a normal F-150 Raptor before being transformed into much more. Hennessey is now turning its hand to doing something similar with the 2019 Chevy Silverado Trail Boss, with the Hennessey Goliath 6×6.

Trucks. Americans love them. In fact, over 2.8 million units are sold per year when you add up all the full- and mid-size offerings from Ford, GM, Ram, Toyota, Nissan, and Honda. That’s a lot of trucks.

Mere months after witnessing Chevrolet reveal its all-new generation of Silverado trucks at the Detroit Auto Show, the Bowtie Brand has returned for another round of ruggedness. Referred to simply as “Silverado Class 4, 5, and 6 chassis cab trucks,” the American monsters pictured here are the brand’s first swing at hardcore conventional cabs, and are set to kick-start into production later in 2018, with order guides arriving this spring.

The hype is real. Chevrolet’s latest Silverado is here, and after 100 years of truck production GM appears to have gone all-in on the nation’s longest lasting pickup. Featuring a far more functional full-size truck bed, a fresh weight loss plan, different overhauls and engine/transmission combos, as well as a wider array of trim options, America’s bowtie brand has an impressive array of nifty new sales pitches.

It’s been quite some time since the Chevrolet Silverado got a significant redesign, but the wait is nearly over with the reveal of the new 2019 model of Chevy’s popular pickup truck. Chevy says the new truck will get an expanded model range, more engine and transmission combinations, and new tech and convenience features.

Jumping from the rugged Chevy Colorado ZR2 into the far larger and refined Silverado 1500 Z71 Redline was a wise decision. Although both trucks are quite different from one another in a myriad of ways, a line of GM comparisons and contrasts between the two demands to be drawn.

I’ll start out by saying this – I live in a big city, with limited need for a heavy duty pickup truck in my day-to-day life as an automotive and men’s lifestyle journalist. But when Chevrolet offered up a selection of vehicles to serve as my chariot for the drive down to their Find New Roads Experience at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, I jumped on the opportunity to drive the Silverado 2500 HD, rocking a brand new 6.6-liter Duramax Diesel engine.

Chevrolet has announced that it will be offering a new special edition for nine of its cars and trucks. All models will get special Redline versions, and Chevy says that this is its broadest cross-platform special edition run ever offered.

When it comes to clothing and jackets for work, the Carhartt brand is one of the best and biggest brands in the industry. Chevy has a cool new truck concept that will be on display at SEMA 2016 that has some of that rugged style that Carhartt is famous for.

Chevrolet unveiled a new special edition of the Silverado truck at a recent NASCAR race at the Texas Motor Speedway. The special edition truck is called the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado Rally Edition and it is essentially the same Silverado we are used to with some stripes and new wheels.

Last year, Chevrolet introduced several new special edition trim packages for the Silverado, including a Midnight Edition that blacked everything out. Of those packages, the only one that really was successful was that Midnight Edition. For 2016, Chevrolet is expanding that package to their entire pickup truck line.
