One thing COVID did for automotive manufacturers around the world was to push them to find ways to sell cars directly to their customers while dealerships were closed. Lotus has announced a new e-commerce platform for direct sales from the factory called Lotus Drive.

Yesterday we mentioned that Ford was increasing production capacity for its highly anticipated Lightning electric pickup to 150,000 units annually. Ford has now gone live with the Lightning configurator website, allowing you to configure your dream electric pickup.

With Chevy showing off its 670 horsepower Corvette Z06 this week, demand has been incredibly strong, with at least one dealer reporting over 1000 people on their waitlist. So chances are that even if you have the money to buy one, you won’t be able to get behind the wheel for until sometime in 2023.
