Audi continues to evolve their small car offering. In the 2015 model year, the A3 sedan changed body style, moving away from a hatchback toward a sporty four-door. Likewise, Audi makes this vehicle even more exciting by adding a 2+2 cabriolet (aka convertible) to the lineup.

When I first heard that Land Rover was going to make a drop-top Evoque, I thought it sounded like a weird idea. After all, when Nissan tried it with the Murano, it was a complete fail.

Back over the weekend, I was driving home after lunch with my family and happened on a Lamborghini Huracán in traffic. I always thought the Countach and Gallardo were the best looking Lambo cars. I was wrong.

The name might not be as intimidating as the rest of the Rolls-Royce lineup, but the brand new Rolls-Royce Dawn is one beautiful beast. Unleashed upon the affluent and the rest of the world today, it derives its name from the 1949 Silver Dawn and might just be the car that the upper crusty want to be seen in most, and that’s saying something.

Last year, Citroën unveiled the four door C4 Cactus that you can purchase over in Europe. I rather like the design of the funky little car, and as it turns out, lopping the top off it and making it a two-door cabrio makes it even better looking.

Lion-hearted French automaker Peugeot has revealed its stunning Fractal convertible concept ahead of the 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show, and the first question that popped into my mind had nothing to do with the car, per se.

I’ve been in a convertible at around 130 mph before and it sounds like your ears will explode at any second. I can only imagine how loud it would be with the top off a car at 217 mph.

It’s only been about a month since Chevy pulled back the curtain on the new 2016 Camaro, and now we’ve already got the first addition to the line – a convertible version. The new Camaro Convertible not only benefits from all of the lightweighting, improved handling, braking and suspension found in the standard version, but it’s got a whole new convertible mechanism that’s sure to thrill past Camaro owners.

Mini already tried to make us a roadster, that was aptly titled “Mini Roadster.” It was awkward, few sold, and the model was recently axed. The reason for this flop is pretty obvious: the Roadster offered nothing that the convertible didn’t with the exception of reduced cargo capacity.

Think of automotive excess. Luxury, power, branding and of course the kind of price tag that makes $40,000 bottles of single malt seem quite reasonable. That’s why the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé Nighthawk exists – to make you see your BMW 7-Series as a plebeian set of wheels.

It seems Audi has just revealed the details of its Prologue Concept, a car that’s meant to act as a harbinger of what’s to come from Audi. But X-Tomi Design wasted no time to consider how the car inspired by Audi racing, the flagship A8, and the Audi TT coupe might look as a cabriolet.

There’s nothing quite like a Bentley. The British automaker’s elegant and powerful cars are the ultimate extravagance. Driven by a 528 horsepower, twin-turbocharged 4-liter engine, the all-wheel drive Continental GT V8 S offers tremendous power, while at the same time lavishing you in creature comforts.

Scion turned up at SEMA 2014 with a car that no one expected: a Scion FR-S Targa, complete with a removable top and louvered rear window. The custom version of the Scion FR-S was built by Jeremy Lookofsky of Cartel Customs and I think the result is terrific.

The BMW 2-series is shaping up to be a hot little coupe. I’m especially thrilled by the M235i. But despite the aerodynamic and rigidity disadvantages, I still love convertibles. So I’m stoked that BMW has announced that the 2-series is not only coming in a convertible variant, but that it’s going to offer an M Sport package as well.
