While much of the recent Corvette buzz is about the mid-engined 2020 Corvette, the C7 is not only a car you can walk into a dealership and buy today, but is the only way you can get a supercharged V8 in a Vette for the foreseeable future.

Chevrolet took its all-new 2019 Corvette ZR1 down to Virginia International Raceway and set the beast loose. The 4.1-mile circuit is described by many as the most challenging road course in the US. The 2019 ZR1 rolled away with the record for fastest production car lap at the track, besting the far more expensive, but less powerful Ford GT.

We’re big fans of bespoke automaker Jonathan Ward, and his rolling works of art are something we dream of one day being able to afford. Known best for his masterfully modified reinterpretations of Toyota FJs and Ford Broncos, Ward has also branched out into the “derelict” market, reviving sun-baked old vehicles by capitalizing on decades worth of wear-and-tear to stunning effect.
