Fans of the iconic Dodge Charger and Challenger hoping for a refreshed version of those cars won’t like the latest news. According to a report from MotorTrend that sources Dodge brand CEO Tim Kuniskis, those two muscle cars will go out of production by 2024.

Dodge has confirmed two new appearance packages for its Charger and Challenger models: The HEMI Orange package and the SRT Black package. The HEMI Orange package adds orange and black exterior and interior color enhancements in the iconic HEMI orange color Dodge has used for years.

Yes, what you see in these images is a 2006 Dodge Charger R/T that has been converted into a pickup. It looks like a modern Chevrolet El Camino, which, depending on how you feel about utes, is either a good thing or a bad thing.

Dodge has announced a new update that will be applied free of charge on some 2015 through 2021 model year Dodge Charger and Challenger models. Vehicles that will get the update free of charge include all Charger and Challenger versions with the 392 cubic-inch V8 or supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine.

Dodge has unveiled the MSRP for every version of the 2021 Charger from the entry-level V6 version all the way up to the SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody. The entry-level Charger starts at $29,995. At the other end of the spectrum, the enthusiast-focused Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody with the 797 horsepower supercharged V-8 starts at $78,595.

While the Dodge Challenger and Charger both received facelifts in the last few years, both cars have been basically on the same heavy chassis for over 10 years now. This puts them at a pretty big weight disadvantage compared to their more recently redesigned competition.
