Hundreds of Spiders Released onto U.S. Docks

Hundreds of Spiders Released onto U.S. Docks
I’m not a big fan of spiders, unless they are of the automotive variety. Big cargo ships arrived at the Ports of Baltimore and San Diego this week, spilling hoards of FIAT 124 Spiders out, and on their way U.S.

First Drive Review: 2017 Fiat 124 Spider

First Drive Review: 2017 Fiat 124 Spider
What happens when you take the lovable Mazda MX-5 Miata and change out the engine and exterior design for a little Italian flair? You end up with the 2017 Fiat 124 Spider. I recently had a chance to drive the new roadster in sunny San Diego to not only see if the new car is any good, but also to see how it compares to the crowd-pleasing Miata.

FIAT 124 Spider Configurator Goes Live; Where’s My Matte Hood?
I’m both excited that the FIAT 124 Spider configurator has gone live in the US and angry. I am excited because I love seeing just what the Spider would cost configured just how I like it.

The Mighty Roar of the Abarth 124 Spider

The Mighty Roar of the Abarth 124 Spider
Of all the cars coming out this year, the one I’m currently most excited about driving is the Abarth 124 Spider. After all, this 2-seater shares its DNA with the already awesome Mazda MX-5, but it looks even better, has a more powerful engine, and then to top things off, it’s been massaged by the house of Abarth.

Concepts from Future Past: Pininfarina Model X
The Italian design firm and coachbuilder Pininfarina has contributed to the design of some truly awe inspiring cars, from the original Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider to just about every Ferrari built since the 1950s. One of the stranger designs to emerge from Pininfarina has to be the Model X.

Review: 2016 FIAT 500x

Review: 2016 FIAT 500x
Italian things with an American influence are very popular in the U.S… Olive Garden. Robert De Niro. FIAT? I put the question mark there because the jury is still out on the popularity of FIAT (under the mothership of FIAT Chrysler America).

FIAT Abarth 124 Spider: This Is the Fiata You’re Looking For

FIAT Abarth 124 Spider: This Is the Fiata You’re Looking For
When FIAT announced the 124 Spider late last year, I couldn’t help but be a little disappointed. Yes, it had the turbocharged engine from the 500 Abarth, but it wasn’t designed to be the snarling little roadster that it could’ve been.

1905 FIAT Uses Airship Engine with 3000 lb-ft. of Torque
In 1905, cars were cars, the trunk was an actual trunk, and sometimes a car was actually an airship. This 1905 FIAT is a perfect example. This amazing custom built car has an incredibly long hood needed to fit its massive engine inside.

It’s hard to know exactly the total value of the 10 silver-clad cars on display at the newly remodeled Petersen Automotive Museum’s Precious Metals exhibit. Some reports put the figure at around $120 million, others more like $200 million.

FIAT has teamed up with Garage Italia Customs to create a very special 500e car to celebrate the impending release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The little electric subcompact has a custom paint job that and looks like a Stormtrooper.

2017 Fiat 124 Spider: Fiata

2017 Fiat 124 Spider: Fiata
I’ll admit right up front that I was a bit disappointed with the specs of the 2017 Fiat 124 Spider that have gone official. I was hoping the car would have significantly more power than its MX-5 cousin, but that isn’t to be.

2015 Fiat 500 Abarth: Small But Leaves a Big Impression
When you enjoy a car this much, relating that joy into words becomes increasingly difficult. How do I explain that a car – one which has a modest 160 horsepower – left a perpetual smile on my face?

This 1973 Ferves Ranger Is the Most Adorable Car Ever
I’ve seen quite a variety of cars in my lifetime, but none so ridiculously cute as this 1973 Ferves Ranger. This oddball little green car is just one of 600 of the vehicles ever made, and it’s going up for auction soon.
