The Ford Escape has one of the longest running histories in the compact SUV space. The original Escape hit the market back in 2000, sharing underpinnings with the Mazda Tribute. Lots of competitors have come (and a few have gone – including the Tribute) from the market over the last 15 years, so I was curious┬áto see if Ford’s been able to keep up with┬áthe evolving market for SUVs and crossovers.

2017 Ford Escape Breaks Cover
To kick of the 2015 LA Auto Show, Ford pulled the covers back on the new version of its popular Escape crossover SUV. The new model combines both aesthetic refinements and changes under the hood. Of particular note is the new front end, which is consistent with other new Fords and their good looking hexagonal grille.
