If there’s one version of the Ford Mustang that most embodies drag racing, it’s got to be the Cobra Jet. For five decades, this monster has been blowing minds on the drag strip, and the latest edition is no different.

If you liked what you saw when Ford unveiled the details on the 2019 Bullitt Mustang, now is the time to jump on one of these cars. Ford has announced that orders for the car have officially begun.

Ford has announced that its popular California Special Mustang is returning for the 2019 model year. As with all GT/CS cars throughout the years, it’s an appearance package. Inspired by the original 1967 Shelby GT California Special, the car gets a black grille and racing stripes on its sides. 

Ford Performance makes a number of hopped up versions of cars like the Mustang GT350R, the Focus RS, and the F-150 Raptor. They also are responsible for the crazy fast Ford GT and its racing version.

Some lucky buyer bought the rights to own the very first 2019 Bullitt Mustang. The car rolled across the auction block at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction, and the hammer dropped for $300,000. The money raised will go to the Boys Republic school and treatment community for troubled youth.

Ford has dropped a teaser video that taunts Mustang fans with tiny glimpses and little data about the return of the Shelby GT500. The last GT500 was available in the 2014 model year and it was a straight-line beast meant for the drag strip.

Ford has gone official with most of the details on the all-new 2019 Bullitt Mustang, inspired by the classic 1968 Steve McQueen movie of the same name. Fortunately, this Mustang isn’t just a cosmetic package, and actually has some performance upgrades compared to the stock Mustang GT.

One of the coolest cars that ever graced the big screen was the Eleanor Mustang from the 2000 Nicolas Cage flick Gone in 60 Seconds. That car was awesome. All the leaves were brown, and yes, the sky was grey. But I’d be damned if I was walking that wintry day. Ford had gone through all this trouble to make sure that I had ample access to the heavily revised, and downright devilish Mustang GT in Malibu, California, and I sure as hell wasn’t about to pass up on seat time.

Japanese car customizer Liberty Walk is known for their over-the-top body kits, which typically include super wide overfenders and ridiculously low ground effects. They’ve just taken wraps off their kit for the Ford Mustang, and have totally lived up to those expectations.

While some people are sticklers for using all original parts when restoring classic cars, I rather enjoy well-done restomods as well, in which the spirit of the original car is preserved, but its updated with modern performance parts, a typically made more bold and aggressive in styling.

Yesterday we talked a bit about the performance of the 2018 Mustang GT. The car has more power for the new model year and is able to reach 60 MPH in under four seconds. While performance is grand, we all want to know just how much the car will cost us this time out.

The 2018 Mustang GT is FAST. Ford is giving the car a boost in power and torque for 2018, with the 5.0-liter engine’s new performance numbers coming in at 460 hp and 420 lb-ft. of torque.

Ford has announced that it plans to celebrate National Ice Cream day this coming Sunday with a special, custom created ice cream flavor from Coolhaus Ice Cream. The flavor is inspired by the Orange Fury exterior color available on the 2018 Ford Mustang.
