TVR is a British sportscar maker that has made some very cool rides over the last 70 years. Sadly, the brand didn’t sell enough cars and closed its doors for a time. The good news is that TVR is coming back with a new car that will be unveiled on September 8 at the Goodwood Revival.

In 1936, BMW launched the 328, which quickly made its mark with its 2-liter flat 6, gaining class wins at LeMans and winning the overall trophy at the 1940 Mille Miglia. Further evolved after the war by Bristol, the 328 notched a win at the 1952 British Grand Prix.

The team at Goodwood Road & Racing selected seven vehicles for a video celebrating the best sounding cars of the 2016 Festival of Speed. The competition is fierce. The lineup includes the McLaren P1 LM, the Hepworth GB1 Can-Am car, the Honda Ra 300, Mad Mike Whiddett’s Red Bull turbo Mazda RX-8 drift car, Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s

The Goodwood Festival of Speed celebrated 100 years of BMW competition (and BMW’s centennial as a company) with a parade of amazing cars and motorcycles. The procession featured everything from M1 pro cars to Formula 1 cars, 635 CSIs that won the Spa 24 Hours in the 80s, the V12 LMR, and the spectacular 3.0 CSL “Batmobile” pictured below.

The sheer wealth of exotic machinery that turns up each year at the Goodwood Festival of Speed is staggering. There are plenty of vintage racers and amazing sports cars at the event. When you see a gigantic Rolls-Royce sitting at the starting line, you expect a champagne sipping rear seat passenger telling the driver to be careful and don’t spill their drink.

I am an absolute sucker for a car that can drive on the road, but is really meant for track day beat downs. This is exactly what the Elemental RP1 that we talked about back in 2014 is.

You can’t ask for a much better start than the one Chris Harris gets in Howard Donald’s otherworldly Porsche 356 at the 2015 Goodwood Festival Fordwater Trophy Race. The rear-engine 356 bolts to a comfortable lead ahead of John Young’s pole-sitting Jaguar XK120.

If you have the cash to afford an exotic sports car, then I assume you’re rich enough not to have to worry about abusing it a bit. Which is exactly what a Supercars of London reporter found when he took a cameraman to the Goodwood Festival of Speed and collected a montage of awesome rides tearing their tires to shreds.

If I hit the lotto and suddenly took home a huge amount of money, the first car I would buy is the Koenigsegg One:1. I love how the car looks, sounds, and performs. It’s easily the coolest hypercar out there in my eyes.

At this past weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, a world record was set that wasn’t all that fast, but it was mighty damn skillful. Renowned stunt car driver Terry Grant got into the Guinness Book of World Records when he got behind the wheel of the GT-R powered Nissan Juke Nismo RS and drove it up the very challenging 1.16-mile course, averaging a very respectable 30 mph along the way – on two wheels.

Famed British former pro cyclist David Millar has a new job that any gearhead would crave – Maserati Ambassador. And he recently joined his love of cycling with his passion for fast cars in a unique feat to promote the first appearance of Maserati at the Goodwood Moving Motor Show on June 25.

Toyota plans to turn up at the upcoming 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed with a six-pack of sweet GT86 cars that are all swathed in retro race liveries. The GT86 – if you don’t know – is the same thing as the Scion FR-S here in the U.S.

One of the coolest cars ever made by McLaren is one that it doesn’t make anymore. The McLaren F1 was a beast when it first hit the streets and is still to this day. A gathering of owners at Goodwood brought 16 F1s together in one place and they all fired up at the same time.

Normally, crashes in racing are either abjectly terrifying or just involve a lot of cars spinning around and spewing sand in to the air. It’s always dramatic, but it’s rarely hilarious. This crash from the 73rd Goodwood Members’ Meeting was between a few 1000cc F3 cars from ’64-’70, and it was indeed hilarious.
