Dodge has announced another new variant for the 2022 Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody. The Jailbreak models unlock color combinations and ordering restrictions allowing for new factory-delivered customization options. Dodge says the Jailbreak models are the next phase of this “Never Lift” campaign.

I always loved the look of the Jeep Grand Wagoneer. It combined the best elements of an SUV and a station wagon, with its tall body and classic “woodie” paneling on its sides. Over its many years in production, it typically packed a hefty V8 engine.

With the Hellcat engine finding its way into the Dodge Charger, Dodge Challenger, and Jeep Grand Cherokee, FCA continues to look for places to stick its ridiculously powerful supercharged V8 power plant. Next up on the list is a seemingly obvious pick – the Dodge Durango.

Jeep makes a very cool SUV in the form of the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. This beast is an SUV aimed at hauling people during the week and hauling ass on the weekend at the dragstrip. It has a 707 hp supercharged Hellcat V8 under the hood, making 645 lb-ft of torque.

Engine swaps can be quite entertaining, especially when jamming a gigantic V8 powerhouse into a tiny 2-seater convertible. Recently, the guys at Hoonigan Daily Transmission went up close and personal with KarrMedia’s insane MX-5 Miata that manages to cram a 6.2-liter, supercharged SRT Hellcat engine under – and through – its diminutive hood.

I am a big Jeep Wrangler fan, but I really wish they offered a V8 option. As it is now only a V6 is available. If you want a V8 in your Wrangler, you have to go aftermarket.

Packing a 707 hp Hellcat HEMI V8 straight from the factory, we already know that the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is a monster. But the guys at Hennessey Performance are never satisfied with stock, and cranked theirs up to make an extra 500 horses or so.

On the surface, the idea of putting a 707 horsepower engine into a Jeep Grand Cherokee is insane. Like the folks who shoehorned the 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI into the truck need to be put in straight jackets and locked up for good.

We know that Jeep is already releasing its own Hellcat-powered Grand Cherokee, the Trackhawk. But the guys at True Street Performance couldn’t be bothered to wait for the official SUV, and decided to build their own, transforming a stock Grand Cherokee and into something awesome that can decimate the quarter mile.

“The most powerful production sedan in the world.” Let those words sink in for a moment. Of all the cars in the world that have four doors, this Charger from Dodge has them all beat. It doesn’t matter if the manufacturer is Mercedes-Benz or Rolls Royce, they’re all less-powerful than this Dodge.
