Hennessey Venom F5

Hennessey Performance is working on what it hopes will be the fastest car in the world. The Venom F5 is powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine that makes an insane 1817 horsepower in a car that weighs under 3000 pounds.

Hennessey has a long history of making very cool cars and trucks, but the coolest thing it’s announced in recent memory is its very own hypercar known as the Venom F5. The company is currently conducting aerodynamic testing on the vehicle and has announced that it is completed the first round.

After teasing for a time, Hennessey has finally unveiled the production version of its insane Venom F5 hypercar. The vehicle is powered by a “Fury” 6.6-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that makes 1817 horsepower and 1193 lb-ft.

Thanks to their custom-tuned and custom-built engines, Hennessey Performance makes some seriously badass vehicles. Now, the Sealy, Texas tuner is showing off one of the most powerful V8 engines we’ve seen this side of a top fuel dragster.

When it announced the car was in the works last year, Hennessey Special Vehicles said that it wanted the Venom F5 hypercar to hit 300 mph. Like most, we expected that meant 301 mph. As it turns out, Hennessey has a bit more speed in mind for the car.

Hennessey performance showed off the outside of its Venom F5 hypercar at SEMA a few weeks back. Now the company giving us a gander at the interior of the crazy fast car, and it looks just as good.

Hennessey Performance is teasing a new hypercar set to be unveiled in the coming months. The car is to be called the Venom F5, and all it wants is to be is the fastest production series super sports car in the world, taking aim directly at the Bugatti Chiron.
