Hennessey Venom GT

OK, so maybe it’s a little hyperbolic to set a video of the Hennessey Venom GT Spyder breaking the record for world’s fastest convertible to President Kennedy’s inaugural “Ask not what your country can do for you” speech.

Hennessey Performance Engineering will be showing off three vehicles at the 2015 SEMA show when it kicks off tomorrow. The coolest of the trio of vehicles looks to be the Venom GT with its power output bumped up to an insane 1451 hp.

There’s fast, really fast, and then there’s sick fast. The Hennessey Venom GT’s power is enough to make any speed freak overdose. The famous auto made in 2014 by the renowned high-performance customizer was based on a Lotus’ Exige body, which is known for its light weight.
