Jaguar has unveiled the latest version of its mid-size XF sedan, which it says is a “thoroughly refined” testament to its ongoing commitment to beautiful executive sedans. The vehicle features Jaguar’s all-new Pivi Pro infotainment system and will come in three configurations with rear or all-wheel drive.

It’s a glorious time to be alive for fans of station wagons here in the US. Not just any wagons mind you, but good looking wagons with plenty of oomph to both haul cargo and haul arse.

Jaguar had better not be toying with us, because if all of these feline-friendly lines are just a tease and American buyers get denied yet another amazing automobile we’re going to crack. The British automaker has already seen outstanding success with its new line of XF sedans, and by taunting us with outlines of a Sportbrake version, the brand both raises our pulses and our curiosity.

Jaguar has announced that the 2017 model year will mark the first time that US buyers have been able to get an XF with a diesel engine under the hood. The 2017 XF diesel will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbo diesel inline four that makes 180 hp and 318 lb-ft.
