A lot of car guys and gals liked to play with slot cars growing up, I know I did. A lot of people still like to play with these sets as adults. Scalextric has unveiled a special-edition slot car set to go along with the James Bond film Spectre that will hit theaters later this year.

The recently revealed Aston Martin DB10 is slated for its big debut in the upcoming James Bond film, Spectre. And while it’s likely to make numerous PR appearances along the way, this is the first time we’ve heard this awesome looking bit of kit roar to life.

The Aston Martin DB5 is one of the most iconic cars ever made, in large part due to its appearance in the James Bond movies. Now, you can own a DB5 identical to the one that Sean Connery drove 50 years ago in Goldfinger – with one major exception – it’s just 1/3rd of the size of the actual car.

The Aston Martin DB5 gained cinematic notoriety when James Bond first drove one in 1964’s Goldfinger. In this video, The AFICIANAUTO pays a visit to an avid James Bond fan and collector. Paul came across a 1967 DB6 (which is very similar in appearance to the DB5) that was in need of some TLC and a restoration.

Fans of the James Bond series know that 007 has always had a fond place in his heart for Aston Martins. In fact, he drove the world’s most iconic Aston Martin – a DB5, in Goldfinger and Thunderball – complete with machine guns, an ejector seat, retractable wheel spikes and a flip-over license plate.
