The Land Rover brand has a lot of mystery about it. Depending on where you live, you don’t often see many on the road. Also, there’s the confusion about the Land Rover/Range Rover name. Many think Range Rover is the brand name, but it’s actually just a subset of the Land Rover family of vehicles.

Land Rover has announced some of the updates coming to the Discovery Sport SUV for 2017. For starters, both the HSE and HSE LUX trim levels are now available with a Dynamic Design Pack that gives unique details inside and out.

To help preserve its heritage, Land Rover went out and purchased 25 Series 1 vehicles that were desperately in need of restoration. The automaker is setting about restoring each of them to pristine condition and you can buy them directly from Land Rover.

Overfinch is a name that many of us here in the US might not be familiar with. Overseas, where folks that can get new Defenders right off the Land Rover lot probably know the company name; Overfinch has been souping up Defenders for 40 years. 

I recently had the opportunity to drive the Range Rover SVR, and it truly is one of the most impressive vehicles I’ve driven this year, offering the full off-road capabilities of a Range Rover, combined with the heart and soul of a sports car.

Land Rover has taken a chance and officially announced the 2016 Range Rover Evoque Convertible, and the drop top SUV looks very good. I think the closest thing to the Evoque convertible would have to be the miserably failed Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet.

It may be sacrilege to admit, but for the forthcoming Bond movie Spectre, I’m more stoked to see the villains’ cars. Nothing against the regal Aston Martin DB10 we featured here yesterday, but c’mon, have you see what the bad guys get?

I think you only need to look as far as the new Land Rover Evoque convertible to see that the company has a bit of a crazy streak. Another unusual product to surface from Land Rover recently is this Defender pedal car.

When I first heard that Land Rover was going to make a drop-top Evoque, I thought it sounded like a weird idea. After all, when Nissan tried it with the Murano, it was a complete fail.

The “standard” Range Rover Sport Supercharged is plenty fast all on its own. 510 horses from its 5.0-liter V8 will rocket it to 60 mph in 5.0 seconds, almost half a second faster than a Porsche Cayman, a car that weighs about 2,400 pounds less than the performance SUV.

Jaguar and Land Rover have officially unveiled the cars that will be seen in the new James Bond film Spectre. We already know that Bond will drive an Aston Martin DB10. The bad guys in the film will get to drive some equally awesome rides.

Range Rover has announced the all-new Sentinel, an armored SUV based on the Range Rover Autobiography SUV. The Sentinel is the first armored Land Rover to be fully engineered by the company’s Special Vehicle Operations. The armored SUV is rated for VR8 certification for ballistic attack and blasts.

Land Rover has developed a cool bit of tech that will help people towing a trailer to see what is going on behind them. Anyone who has ever towed something with their vehicle knows how bad the blind spots it creates can be.

In much of the world, roads aren’t exactly in the greatest of condition. Weather, wear and aging materials end up causing potholes, divots and other road hazards for all vehicles. If you’ve ever hit a really bad pothole and blown a tire, bent a rim, or damaged some other part of your car, you know they can be costly and dangerous.

Land Rover is testing a new remote control driving system that sounds like something straight out of James Bond movies. The prototype system allows a driver to control their vehicle at speeds of up to 4mph while outside the vehicle via an app running on their smartphone.
