After announcing that it will actually make its LC 500 luxury sports coupe, Lexus has now officially premiered its LC 500h hybrid. The car has a multi-stage hybrid system that promises efficiency and performance for drivers.

To promote its NX SUV, Lexus commissioned the artists of Hamilton Ice Sculptors to create a set of wheels and tires made entirely from ice. The finished product is pretty cool (see what I did there).

About a year ago, I took my first drive in the Lexus RC 350 F Sport. At the time, I was given the choice of driving it and the mighty 467 hp Lexus RC F, so I wasn’t exactly able to give it 100% of my attention.

One of the cars I’ve really been looking forward too since it was first announced has been the new Lexus GS F. After the good times I had in the Lexus RC F last year, I was wondering how well the performance pedigree would hold up on a larger, 4-door sedan.

Let’s be honest, most hybrids are not thought of as very exciting. In keeping with 95Octane’s motto of “Cars that Don’t Suck,” we decided to cover a hybrid that adds some excitement and sportiness to the genre.

One of the more memorable commercials to play during the 2015 Super Bowl was the “Let’s Play” one for the Lexus RC F, in which a scale remote-controlled Lexus RC F gets hooned around. Now, even if you don’t have the cash lying around to buy an actual RC F, you can own a remote controlled RC F, just like the one in the commercial spots.

In all honesty, I’ve never been a big fan of the current-gen Lexus RX. Its styling was just too conservative, and the driving experience too disengaged for me. Sure, it’s practical and reasonably upscale, but exciting, it isn’t.

I’ll start out by saying the Lexus GS 350 F-Sport is a paradigm in contradiction. It’s a car that is both conservative, but bold. Its looks are both brash but simple. The engine is both controlled and yet sporty.

One of the things I always wanted from Back to the Future 2, other than the DeLorean, was the awesome Mattel Hoverboard. When Lexus first showed off its take on the hoverboard, I immediately thought it was a marketing gimmick that was fake.

I’m not a big fan of luxo-barge SUVs, but the wealthy need something to tow their water toys and trailer queen restorations with. Those would be the perfect tasks for the new 2016 Lexus LX 570 SUV.

One of the most memorable scenes in Back to the Future 2 occurs when Michael J. Fox’s Marty McFly flies along on a floating hoverboard trying to escape from some bad guys in hot pursuit. In the film, that scene actually takes place in the future in the year 2015, and to mark that milestone Lexus has produced something pretty similar to the amazing wheel-less board from the movie.

Wow, do Luxury automakers have some serious marketing budgets. Case in point, to promote their new NX SUV, Lexus enlisted Grammy-winning rapper will.i.am to pull off a crazy stunt on an airfield outside Madrid that took more than 65 people and over a week to produce.

Lexus has been peddling the IS 250 for a while, and until now the car has used a small 2.5L V6 engine under the hood. Lexus has plans to replace the engine in the IS 250 with a turbo 2.0-liter four, and replace the car with the new IS 200t.

The Lexus LS series has been around for a number of years, but this is the first time I’ve been able to drive one for an extended period of time. The LS 460 is a true executive sedan, meaning that it’s a car you’re as likely to be driven in as to be the driver yourself.

I love to drive, but I am also looking forward to a future where cars can drive themselves. I would love to be able to take a road trip and instead of focusing on driving and what the other idiots around me are doing, I could focus on the trip and the sights around me.
