If Lexus is truly working on an image change, then it’s perhaps no more evident than their creation of a genuine working hoverboard. The luxury arm of Toyota has been working on a prototype that uses what’s called super-conductive technology and magnetic levitation with liquid nitrogen-cooled superconductors and permanent magnets to provide completely frictionless motion.

For the past week, I’ve been truly enjoying my time driving in the new Lexus NX 200t. The NX represents the company’s first entry into the compact SUV market, and I think they’ve got a winner on their hands here.

The Sony PlayStation 3 racer Gran Turismo 6 continues to be a hotbed of activity for car companies to show off their futuristic concept cars. The latest concept to make its way to the game comes from Lexus.

Lexus is considering a move in a more Mini-like direction with the successor to the CT200h, and this is the concept it’s bringing to Geneva to prove it. Yes, it’s tiny. Yes, it’s really weird looking.

If you are a fan of the Lexus LFA, we have some bad news today. It appears that Lexus has opted to back away from its plans to get a replacement for the LFA supercar into production, at least for now.

Lexus took advantage of the spotlight at the 2015 North American International Auto Show to announce its return to competing in FIA GT3 European Championship, unveiling a new concept racer: the RC F GT3. Lexus is still in the process of refining the vehicle and working towards competing against private racing teams as the first step in the company’s return to the global racing scene.

Lexus recently announced their new performance version of the GS 350, with a 5.0 liter V8 and 467 horsepower under the gas pedal, Jeff Braken, the Lexus Group Vice President and General Manager, rolled into Detroit with a GS F to show to the world.

Hot on the heels of the launch of its powerful RC F coupe, Lexus has announced the next car in their “F” performance lineup, the GS F. Based on the existing Lexus GS 350 platform, the GS F sports the same big naturally-aspirated 5.0 liter V8 found in the RC F.

It’s not often that I drive a car that’s as well-rounded as the Lexus ES 300h. This mid-size car is spacious, comfortable, luxurious, and gets astonishingly good gas mileage. Outside, the ES 300h and it’s traditionally-engined ES 350 brother are stylish and sophisticated, though pretty conservative in their looks.

I’ve already spent some time inside a Lexus RC F and also an LFA, and they’re both proof that the Japanese luxury automaker is more than up to the task of making a proper sports car.

The solar eclipse has finally passed and Lexus has fully unveiled its new open-air concept: The LF-C2. The car made its debut at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show after the slow reveal was completed. The new sports convertible is done as a beautiful 2+2 roadster, with a bunch of styling cues taken from the RC F coupe, but with a long list of design tweaks and updates throughout.

Lexus continues to reveal more and more details of the new LF-C2 Concept before it fully unveils the model at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show on November 19. As the sun moves through an eclipse we are catching more and more glimpses of the new convertible concept car (and we’ve taken the liberty of shedding a bit more light on the subject in some of the images below).

Lexus has begun teasing a what appears to be a new two-door convertible that the Japanese automaker will be bringing to the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. The LF-C2 Concept will gradually be revealed through a series of images as the sun appears from behind the moon following a solar eclipse.

It’s rare to see a Lexus LFA supercar at all these days, and this limited-edition Nürburgring Edition is even harder to find. Just 50 of these vehicles were built, with a powertrain that boosts the LFA’s standard 4.8-liter V10’s horsepower by another 10, for a total of 552hp.
