Lotus Announces Elise S Cup
Following on the heels of the track-only Elise S Cup R, Lotus has announced a new edition of the Elise that’s ready for both the track and the roadways: the Elise S Cup. The new car is is designed for track performance but, unlike the S Cup R, it remains street legal so you can drive it home.

Lotus is celebrating its history with Formula 1 racing with the limited edition Exige LF1. Based on Lotus Exige S, the coupe shares the model’s powertrain with a 3.5-liter V6 producing 345 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, which results in a 0-to-60 time of just 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 170 mph.

While the Kode9 is based on the Lotus Elise, it sure doesn’t look like one. In fact, it looks more like Speed Racer’s Mach V than an Elise. It doesn’t hurt that it was designed by Ken Okuyama, the man behind the Enzo Ferrari when he worked for Pininfarina.
