Nissan GT-R

Nissan has announced a new, limited-production version of the iconic GT-R for 2021. The car is the GT-R T-Spec, and a very small number of them will be available for sale in North America this winter.

Nissan held an event this week in Yokohama, Japan, where it unveiled the GT-R NISMO Special Edition. For a princely sum of money, buyers will get a NISMO-exclusive Stealth Gray paint finish and Special Edition exclusive 20-inch RAYS forged aluminum-alloy wheels with red accents.

One of the coolest sports cars out there is the Nissan GT-R. Japanese automaker Nissan has now announced the official pricing for the 2021 GT-R Premium and GT-R NISMO. The Premium starts at $113,540, while the NISMO starts at a whopping $210,740.

The Nissan GT-R is one of the best cars I’ve ever driven, and it continues to be a favorite among gearheads around the world. To celebrate the illustrious history of the GT-R brand, Nissan and LEGO will soon release a model based on the modern day GT-R NISMO.

The Nissan GT-R first came on the scene all the way back in 1969 as the Skyline GT-R. After five successive generations, and a five year hiatus from 2002 to 2007, the Skyline gave way to the GT-R, which has seen a couple of revamps, first in 2011, and again in 2017.

The newly-updated-for-2020 Nissan Versa is no longer the least expensive new car on sale in the United States, but it does retain the title of least expensive new Nissan. On the other end of the spectrum, the 2020 Nissan GT-R NISMO is the most expensive Nissan in the company’s lineup, and the most expensive GT-R to date.

Nissan has announced the 2020 GT-R NISMO as part of its celebration of 50-years of GT-Rs. Compared to other GT-R models, the NISMO uses carbon fiber on the front and rear bumpers, front fenders, hood, roof, side sill covers, trunk, and rear spoiler.

The last time that Nissan launched a dedicated GT3 racing version of the GT-R sports car was in 2015. Now, the Japanese automaker has announced that it has a revised version of that GT3 racer that will begin deliveries in January 2019.

Let’s assume for a moment you were a smuggler. Maybe you’re even a bit of a Han Solo type, or at least an aspiring Solo. But since you live on Earth in 2018, you have to have a car to do your smuggling duties.

The Nissan GT-R is perhaps the most precise and predictable sports car on the market. It’s incredibly responsive, and sharp as a tack going around a road course. I speak from experience. It’s like a precision scalpel that makes anyone behind the driver’s seat look like a pro.

The Nissan GT-R may not be as exciting as say a Porsche 911 GT3, but the GT-R is a legitimate supercar when it comes to performance. Nissan has shown off a sweet custom GT-R that it has donated to the Nashville Predators Foundation.

Nissan is jumping on the bandwagon of offering free track driving training for buyers of its sports cars. Ford has done it with special edition Mustangs and other cars ,and Cadillac has too with its CTS-V.

If you have enough scratch sitting around to afford the 2017 Nissan GT-R NISMO, you could have an epic 911 GT3 RS for only $1,000 more. That would be an easy decision for me, all 911 GT3 RS all day.

Driving a 2017 R35 GT-R on the Autobahn and at the track at Spa-Francorchamps sounds like pretty much a perfect day to me. That’s the itinerary for lucky bastard/Carfection host Drew Stearne in a video review of the latest iteration of Godzilla.

Why didn’t EVO think of this sooner? In a new series they’re calling “Drag Battles,” EVO will be pitting automotive rivals against each other in a straight sprint to glory. To kick things off, they square off the all-wheel drive Nissan GT-R Track Edition against the much more expensive, rear-wheel driven Porsche GT3 RS.
