The beautiful Open GT/W Geneve was a concept car developed by the German manufacturer, and first seen at the Geneva Motor Show in 1975. The 2-seater was designed around the Wankel rotary engine, which is why the car was given the designation GT/W instead of the typical GT.

A few weeks back the slick Opel GT concept debuted. The car looks awesome on the outside with its black, red, and silver with red tires and hidden windows. Many of its features will never see production, but they look fantastic on a concept.

One glance at this car and you know it’s a concept. That hidden side window design will certainly not ever make it to the production phase, assuming this concept is ever built at all. Slated for its in-person debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, the Opel GT concept is powered by a turbo 3-cylinder engine and the little car weighs less than 1000kg (~2200lb). 

Opel is one of the many brands that we don’t get here in the States. I assume if you could somehow buy one of these Opel Astra TCR racing cars and import it, since it’s meant for closed circuit racing only.

Taking aim at the Fiat 500 Abarth and MINI Cooper S in Europe is the 2015 Opel Adam S. This compact hot hatch offers a 50% boost in horsepower over its base model, thanks to a newly turbocharged 1.4-liter power plant.

One’s mind doesn’t immediately go to the Buick Encore when considering a rugged off-road vehicle to participate in a brutal race like the Dakar Rally, but that’s what Buick is doing under their European brand, Opel.

Opel has lifted the veil on their extremely aggressive new Astra: the Opel Astra OPC Extreme, which will make its world debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. This race-inspired Astra was developed on the vaunted Nürburgring Nordschleife and carries over all the key high-tech components from its racing peer, the Opel Astra OPC Cup.

Opel will be rolling the new Vauxhall Adam Rocks mini crossover SUV to the 2014 Geneva Auto Show in March. The diminutive SUV measures just 147 inches long – that’s about the same as a MINI Cooper coupe.

German automaker Opel took an amusing approach to its latest advertising campaign for the Opel ADAM. To show off the new range of 16 body colors and six roof colors available for the vehicle, Opel created miniature versions of the already quite small vehicles and photographed them in a variety of situations.

Take a high-speed lap around the famed Nürburgring Nordschleife course during the 2013 ADAC Zurich 24 Hour Race with the team from RaceUnion Teichmann Racing (RTR). The team ran a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup and an Opel Astra OPC Cup and the film contains footage from both as they battle alongside other drives in the endurance race on the toughest race track on the planet.
