Porsche Boxster

Over the years, we’ve seen some truly unusual kit cars. Oftentimes, they’re designed to make less expensive sports cars look like Lamborghinis, Ferraris, or other exotics. But in the case of the Gagliardi Vex, it’s a unique vehicle unto itself, borrowing bits and pieces from a variety of supercar styles.

The Porsche 718 Boxster S aims for addition by subtraction, swapping out two of its six cylinders for a 2.5-liter, flat-four turbo. Now the first drive videos are starting to roll out on the world’s car sites, and we can see this new powerplant in action.

Back in December, I mentioned that the Porsche 718 would be coming back in Boxster and Cayman models. The 718 Boxster has now been officially unveiled along with its new flat-four heart, and it looks damn good too.
