Porsche has announced that it is working on a new car that is for the racetrack only. The car is based on the Cayman GT4 (pictured) and is called the Cayman GT4 Clubsport. The Clubsport gets a 385 hp 3.8 liter flat-six engine mated with a dual-clutch transmission with paddle-shifters.

It’s a bit confusing now that Porsche has moved all of its 911 cars to turbo engines. Saying turbo and Porsche in the same sentence makes me think of the high-end Porsche 911 turbos of yore.

You can’t ask for a much better start than the one Chris Harris gets in Howard Donald’s otherworldly Porsche 356 at the 2015 Goodwood Festival Fordwater Trophy Race. The rear-engine 356 bolts to a comfortable lead ahead of John Young’s pole-sitting Jaguar XK120.

I decided long ago that if I ever won the lottery, I would buy a bunch of awesome old racecars and build my own track to terrorize with them. One of the cars I definitely have to own in my lotto winning future is the Porsche 904 GTS.
