Autocar put together a drag race that pitted the Ariel Atom 3.5R against a Yamaha YZF R race motorcycle and a Monster Energy Citroen DS3 Rallycross car. I always like to see how race cars stand up to street-legal cars, even if the Ariel Atom 3.5R is a street car in the loosest sense of the term.

It was just this week that we got a look at Ken Block hooning around in his Ford Focus RX43, and now we’ve got some great news to go along with that awesome stunt video. First teased in the final seconds of the Gymkhana Eight video, Ford Performance and Ken Block’s Hoonigan Racing Division will be bringing two shiny new Focus RS cars to compete in the 2016 FIA World Rallycross Championship.

The 2014 Red Bull Global RallyCross series just wrapped up in Las Vegas this past week. While he and his Hyundai Veloster Turbo ended up with a did-not-finish during the race, driver Rhys Millen did manage to provide a first-person tour of the course for GoPro prior to the event kicking off.

The new Volkswagen Beetle GRC looks more than ready to compete in the Global RallyCross Championship. With a 550 horsepower powerplant tucked in the back and a 0-to-60 time of just 1.9 seconds, it’s a darn impressive bug.

Tanner Foust of rally racing and Top Gear fame the chance to be the first one to drive the all-new 550+ horsepower Beetle GRC Rallycross. With a 0-to-60 time of just 1.9 seconds, it seems Volkswagen Motorsport and Andretti Rallycross have built a machine that’s more than ready to compete in the Red Bull Global Rallycross championship. 

Volkswagen’s new 544 horsepower Beetle GRC Rallycross looks more than ready to compete in the Red Bull Global Rallycross championship. While obviously taking its design inspiration from the latest VW Beetle, there is little left of the production car in this rally racer.

To promote the Red Bull Global Rallycross, champion drift racer and Pikes Peak record holder Rhys Millen took his rally car through the streets of Washington DC and hooned his way through America’s capitol city. Driving his 600-horsepower Red Bull/Rhys Millen Racing Hyundai Turbo Veloster through the city streets looks like great fun and this is probably the first time residents of the District have seen a police escort for a rally car.
