I wasn’t that thrilled by the ads which ran during this year’s Super Bowl, but the one spot that won almost universal praise was Nissan’s emotional clip about the bond between a child and his dad who races cars for a living.

In what amounts to the best 2015 Super Bowl commercial (at least in my car-loving opinion), With Dad by the folks at Nissan did things up right with a touching father-son ad that briefly showcases the new Nissan Maxima.

The story of The Tortoise and the Hare can be roughly summed up as follows: someone set up a weird race between a tortoise and a hare, and hare got cocky and fell asleep halfway through, and the tortoise won.

Is the all-electric BMW i3 really that confounding to U.S. consumers? BMW seems to think so and will be debuting a new ad for the eco-friendly vehicle during Super Bowl XLIX (why are we still using Roman numerals for this?).

These days, we’re rarely surprised by commercials played during the Super Bowl. But Maserati just caught us completely off guard with this commercial, which not only was a total mystery for the first 110 seconds, it threw down the gauntlet against other luxury performance brands.

The minute-long version of Jaguar’s #GoodToBeBad commercial for the 2014 Super Bowl takes on the trope that all good movie villains are Brits, hoping we’ll draw the conclusion that their new British-built F-Type R Coupe is just as dastardly as Tom Hiddleston, Mark Strong and Sir Ben Kingsley combined.

It’s Super Bowl week, so all of the car companies’ big budget commercials are starting to surface online. One of our early favorites is this wacky tribute to The Matrix, which Kia put together to promote its swanky new 2015 K900 luxury car.

For its Super Bowl 2014 commercial, Audi created a fictitious breed of weird looking dogs  to poke fun at vehicles which trade off performance and style for practicality or economy. We’re not sure they succeeded at convincing us to buy an A3 with the spot, but we think a yardful of doberhuahuas could be a whole lot of fun.
