My uncle is a cattleman and has a few tractors he has used every summer for as long as I can remember to cut the hay in the fields and bail it so the cattle can eat all winter.

Manon Ossevoort (aka “Tractor Girl”) has journeyed for more than five years to fulfill her dream of driving a tractor from her home country of the Netherlands all the way to the South Pole. Behind the wheel of a Massey Ferguson MF 5610 tractor, Ossevoort has now achieved her goal.

After successfully conquering Mount Everest, Sir Edmund Hillary traveled to one of the world’s most remote lands and became the first explorer to reach the South Pole by motor vehicle, driving a Ferguson tractor in January of 1958. 

What would you do if you owned an old Volvo BM Terrier farm tractor and had a automotive team at the ready? What about adding a roll cage, boosting the engine to 225 horsepower, reinforcing the suspension, adding a four-point harness, and taking the tractor out for a bit of drifting?
