Artist Imagines Citroëns as Understated Flying Cars

Artist Jacob Munkhammer has taken images of some classic Citroëns, with their retro-yet-futuristic styling that is so easily recognized, and combined the vehicles with the technology of Marty McFly’s hoverboard. Floating quietly above the street, the Citroëns look well suited to a world in which cars glide effortlessly down the road, flying just a few inches off the ground.

When we finally see flying cars in our daily lives, we can only hope that the French will make them as elegant and understated as Munkhammer’s Flying Citroëns. Although we’re afraid they’d be haunted with absolutely horrible understeer problems.
