The Stig Bungee Jumps in a Formula 1 Car

The hit BBC auto show, Top Gear, traveled to Durban, South Africa to host the 2014 Top Gear Festival and, of course, their tame racing driver, The Stig, came along for the show. But before heading to South Africa, Stig pays a visit to the Lotus F1 Team and makes off with their Formula 1 car.

After arriving at the stadium, Stig finds himself alone with all the toys, he decides to see what he can do. He commandeers a FMX stunt bike and pulls a few tricks, hoons around the track in a chrome-plated Mustang, does a backflip in a buggy, and finally attaches the stolen F1 car to a giant bungee cord and does a 100 foot bungee jump while strapped in.

Looking at the video, Stig ends up a few inches from the pavement and somehow drives off. While the bungee jump was real, we know he didn’t simply drive off while hanging above the ground. Watch the jump from another angle below.
