Ken Block’s latest Hoonigan driftmobile is a heavily modified, four-wheel drive, 845 horsepower 1965 Mustang and it seems Chris Harris couldn’t just let that sort of a beast sit idle. Instead, he paid a visit to the Hoonigan team to help explain the extraordinary engineering that went into building the car.
Harris walks through the whole structure of the car, from the front-mid mount engine to the firing order of the eight cylinders and the few bits that remain leftover from the Mustang. Interestingly, the Hoonigan handbrake actually disengages the front wheels while braking in the rear to allow Block to pull off the incredible drifting he’s known for.
