UPS to Test Adorable Electric Delivery Vehicles

UPS has announced a tie-up with a UK tech firm that makes electric vehicles called ARRIVAL. The result of the partnership is an initial fleet of 35 compact electric delivery vehicles that will be tested in London and Paris. UPS says that the vehicles can travel over 150 miles per charge.

That driving range is said to be significantly more than other EVs that it has in service. ARRIVAL will also integrate into the vehicles systems for improving safety and reducing driver fatigue. A “highly advanced vehicle display” will provide the driver an intelligent and connected vehicle. There is no elaboration on exactly what that will mean, but perhaps that display will include useful delivery and navigational information.

It’s not clear when they will roll out the delivery vehicles beyond this initial test, or if the vehicles will eventually be used in other locations.
