2021 Mazda CX-9 Prices Announced, Adds New Carbon Edition

Mazda makes some very attractive and fun to drive vehicles that buyers sadly often overlook. The Japanese automaker has announced the official starting prices for the 2021 Mazda CX-9 three-row crossover. The vehicle offers some small visual updates, as well as safety and tech upgrades.

A new 10.25″ LCD screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with a more premium look to the seat stitching. Standard safety tech includes Mazda Radar Cruise Control with stop and go function, Advanced Smart City Brake Support with Pedestrian Detection, Smart Brake Support with Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning with Lane-Keep Assist and Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.

All CX-9 models come with a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine that makes 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft. of torque on 93-octane gas. All versions are available in all-wheel drive, but only the Signature comes standard that way. The 2021 CX-9 Sport is the entry-level version starting at $33,960 or $35,860 for AWD. The Touring version starts at $35,750, or $37,650 for AWD. A Touring Premium package is available for another $2060.

The CX-9 Carbon Edition is new for 2021, and includes all of the features of the Touring and Touring Premium package, plus Polymetal Gray paint, black door mirrors, a special gloss black front grille, and 20″ black metallic alloy rims. Red leather seats and black metallic trim are sure to make the Carbon Edition’s interior stand out. The Carbon Edition is priced at $41,080 and $42,980 for AWD.

The Grand Touring starts at $41,940 and costs $43,840 for the AWD version. Mazda’s top-of-the-line Signature edition is $46,605. There are three premium paint colors with Snowflake White Pearl Mica adding $395, Machine Gray Metallic adds $495, and Soul Red Crystal Metallic adds $595.
