Toyota Tundra Capstone Gets All Gussied Up for 2022

Toyota has revealed a new top-of-the-line trim level for its full-size Tundra pickup. The 2022 Capstone gets a number of exclusive features compared to the rest of the Tundra range. For starters, the truck rolls on exclusive 22-inch chrome wheels as standard. It also has chrome mirror caps, a unique grille design, and power running boards.

While the exterior upgrades are nice, the most significant difference between the Capstone and other grades of the truck will be found inside. Toyota fits the Capstone with an exclusive black and white semi-aniline leather-trimmed interior. The seats have perforations and look fantastic. The truck also has authentic dark American walnut trim.

Another interesting touch on the truck’s interior is blue accent lighting all around, including on the Capstone logo on the dash. The Tundra Capstone also has a standard panoramic moonroof. It’s also the only grade in the Tundra line to get acoustic glass for the front doors to reduce interior noise.

Other nice features in the interior include a 12.3-inch digital multi-informational display and a standard 10-inch color Head-Up display. The luxury truck also gets a standard 14-inch multimedia touchscreen display.

The Tundra Capstone comes standard with the more powerful i-FORCE MAX V6 hybrid drivetrain producing 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft. torque. The truck is available only in CrewMax configuration with a 5.5-foot bed. Pricing is unannounced at this time.
