Mitsubishi XR-PHEV Evolution Gran Turismo

Another day, another over-the-top concept that you can drive in the PlayStation 3 title Gran Turismo 6. In this case, we’ve got Mitsubishi getting in on the virtual car action, with an alternative fuel crossover that looks way too cool to ever go into production.

The high-performance CUV rides low to the ground, and has massive aerodynamics to accentuate its aggressive stance. Its spoiler alone looks big enough to land an airplane with. Based on the XR-PHEV concept, the carbon fiber reinforced plastic car would operate on a plug-in hybrid drivetrain with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Again, though, with a virtual car, you can really make up any specs you want. We’re surprised they didn’t say it had a 2,000 horsepower electric motor that runs entirely on the sweat of its driver.
