Dodge: 100 Years, 100 Seconds

Written by Paul Strauss | June 29, 2014

In this short video put together by Chrysler to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Dodge, we get a quick look at the evolution of the brand. From its earliest days with the 1915 Dodge Brothers Touring car, to the massive Senior Six Roadster of the late ’20s, to the Lancers and Chargers of the 1960s and 1970s, to the Daytona of the ’80s, leading all the way to the Viper and the modern-day Challenger of the 21st century.

We’re actually impressed that they had the confidence to include some of their less-than-thrilling models as the Caravan minivan and the Neon – especially as Dodge has repositioned itself as a performance brand, though we prefer that they included them to revisionist history. They did have the good sense to skip the godawful K-car based Dodge Aries of the 1980s.
