The Most Ticketed Types, Makes & Colors of Cars

Does the car you drive increase your chance of getting a speeding ticket? CJ Pony Parts put together this infographic based on a study of 924 speeding citations collected at four intersections in two countries to provide some insight.

Convertibles were the most ticketed cars in the group with four-door sedans at the bottom of the range. And white cars received the greatest number of tickets, but that is partially due to the fact that there is a large percentage of cars on the road of that color; red and grey cars make up a smaller percentage of cars on the road but receive a disproportionately large number of citations.

In addition, 2 million speeding citations in Ohio were studied to provide some demographics on those who received tickets, suggesting that if you’re a 19 to 21 year-old male, driving 14 to 16mph over the speed limit, you’d better be careful.
