’70s Style Scion xB “Shaggin’ Wagon”

The annual SEMA show in Las Vegas brings all sorts of unique customized rides to the forefront, and so far this is my favorite reveal for the 2014 show. This awesome Scion xB mod has transformed the little cereal box on wheels into an awesome 1970s window van.
The amazing custom job was done by Scott Kanemura of KMA Productions for skateboarder Riley Hawk (son of Tony Hawk). Outfitted with an old-school orange, brown and mustard colors scheme, and riding on Cragar wheels, it perfectly captures the spirit of the ’70s. It’s even got round bubble windows on the sides. It’s even got those old Yosemite Sam “Back Off” mudflaps. The pop-up roof storage section is designed to hold Hawk’s skateboards and gear.
Inside, it’s outfitted with brown leather quilted captain’s chairs and door panels, woodgrain paneling, a wood steering wheel, shag carpet on the floor, ceiling and body pillars, and even a working 8-track player. About the only thing missing from this little xB is the bed for getting down to businessĀ in the back. If this Scion’s rockin’, don’t bother knockin’.
