2018 Volkswagen Tiguan Gains Loads of Space

For 2018, the VW Tiguan has grown up and in its growth it has much more room inside. The big change for the all-new model is that extra 10.6-inches in length compared to the current Tiguan. That means that the car can cram in 58% more cargo and has third-row seating standard on all FWD versions.

Buyers who opt for the 4Motion AWD version can add in third row seating for $500. The 4Motion AWD system has multiple driving modes for different terrain needs. It’s driven by a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that makes 184 hp and 221 lb-ft. of torque, connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Lots of driver assistance tech is available with front assist with pedestrian monitoring, blind spot monitoring with rear traffic alert, adaptive cruise, and lane assist. A power liftgate and a panoramic sunroof are also available.

The 2018 Tiguan S starts at $25,345(USD), with the 4Motion AWD version starting at $26,645. The SE starts at $29,080, the SEL starts at $32,500, and the SEL Premium starts at $36,250. Each one comes with VW’s impressive 6-year/72,000 mile limited warranty.
