2019 Mercedes-AMG E 53 Lands in Late 2018

Mercedes-AMG has unveiled the new 2019 E 53 Sedan. The car is powered by an AMG-enhanced 3.0L in-line six turbo engine with an electric auxiliary compressor. The engine makes 429 hp and 384 lb-ft that is supplemented with an electric EQ Boost starter generator, which adds an extra 21 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque.

The E 53 puts the power down through an AMG Speedshift TCT 9G transmission with AMG Performance 4MATIC+ AWD. We’re looking at a 0-to-60 time of about 4.4 seconds for the Sedan and Cabrio, and 4.3 seconds for the Coupe. The car has an electronically-limited top speed of 130 mph when the AMG Driver’s Package is chosen. Its front brakes are cross-drilled and vented 14.2-inch discs with four-piston calipers with the rear getting the same size discs and single pistons. An AMG Sport Suspension is fitted to the car as well.

It’s been fitted with new hood with two power domes and round twin tailpipes, which can be had in black chrome with the available Night Package. 20-inch AMG wheels finish off the package. Inside, the car has AMG Performance Seats, and a slick widescreen cockpit with a 12.3-inch central display. Pricing for the Mercedes-AMG E 53 has yet to be announced.
