Only 35 2020 BMW M5 Edition 35 Years Cars will Come Stateside

BMW is celebrating 35 years of the M5 with a special edition car. Each of them will have BMW Individual Frozen Dark Grey II metallic paint on them with a special pigment that gives a silk matte surface finish. The 20-inch wheels are M light alloy Y-spoke units in Graphite Gray.

Inside the car are M Sport seats in BMW Individual Merino black full leather with beige stitching. Center console, door trim, and instrument panel are finished in a gold anodized carbon structure exclusive to the model. Edition 35 Years cars come standard with the M5 executive package and M Driver’s Package.

Like the M5 Competition, power comes from an M TwinPower Turbo 4.4L V8 engine that makes 617 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque, launching the car to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds. It has an 8-speed M Steptronic transmission and M xDrive all-wheel-drive.

There will be 350 units made globally, but only 35 of the 2020 BMW M5 Edition 35 Years cars will come to the US. The MSRP on the car is $128,995.
