Hennessey VelociRaptor 400 Bronco Gives Ford’s SUV More Kick

The Ford Bronco’s 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6 already makes a decent amount of power. Its 310 horsepower and 400 lb-ft. of torque should give the SUV enough performance for most buyers. However, for those who want more, Hennessey has announced the new VelociRaptor 400 Bronco that gets tuned to deliver significantly more power and performance. Hennessey’s magic delivers 405 horsepower and 503 lb-ft. of torque from Ford’s EcoBoost engine.

The package includes custom tuning and a new intake and exhaust system. With the upgrades, a Bronco Badlands 4 x 4 can reach 60 mph in 4.9 seconds. Buyers can also add the Off-Road Package which comes with 35-off-road tires on 18-inch wheels, custom front and rear VelociRaptor bumpers, retractable sidesteps, and VelociRaptor graphics.

Hennessey notes that all of the stock Bronco engine modes and off-road systems are retained. VelociRaptor 400 Bronco also gets a three-year 36,000-mile warranty as part of its $80,000 base price. That price includes the base Bronco Badlands. Hennessey will build the VelociRaptor 400 Bronco on two or four-door versions with or without a soft stop. Production is limited to 200 units, and they can be ordered directly from Hennessey or through authorized Ford retailers.
