Ford Details the Return of the Ranger Splash Pickup

In September, Ford confirmed the Ranger Splash pickup was returning as a limited-edition trim package. Now Ford stepped up and offered more details on what we can expect from the special edition trucks and the approximate launch date for each version.

The first will be the 2022 Ranger Splash Snow Edition based on the Lariat trim. It has a unique Avalanche exterior color with magnetic accents and Avalanche grille nostrils. The truck has special leather-trimmed seats with Ash Gray accent stitching and carbon weave tuxedo stripes and bolsters. Ford will make about 750 Snow Edition Ranger Splash pickups starting this spring.

The next special edition is the Forest Edition, based on the XLT trim level. It has a Forged Green exterior color with Magnetic accents and red grille nostrils. Inside are cloth seats that are ebony in color with Ash Gray accent stitching and carbon weave tuxedo stripes and bolsters. Ford plans to make about 500 Forest Edition Splash pickups starting this summer.

The final 2022 Ranger Splash will be the Sand Edition based on the XLT trim. Its exterior is Desert Sand with Magnetic accents and red grille nostrils. It has the same ebony cloth seats with Ash Gray and carbon weave tuxedo accents. About 500 Sand Edition trucks will be made starting this fall. The Splash Limited Edition package price is $1495 on top of the cost of the regular truck.
