Over the last several seasons in the NHRA Funding Car racing series, Toyota has had a drag racing car based on the Camry. “Based on” is quite a loose phrase for funny cars as they really look nothing like production cars, nor do they share any of the drivetrain.

In addition to its four more street-friendly Camaros, Chevrolet has rolled out the all-new sixth generation COPO Camaro at SEMA 2015. The car is designed specifically for NHRA drag racing and can be had with three different engines under the hood.
