Porsche 911 Goes Off-Road

While Porsche actually has a long history in rally racing, the cars seen in competition have been heavily modified to handle the tough challenges of rocky roads, mud and loose dirt. In the case of this 1983 Porsche 911 SC, it’s barely been touched from stock.

From what we can tell, Travis Johnson’s off-road 911 only has larger than normal tires, some fog lights and roll bars, yet it’s able to handle hill climbing and sand as well as the trucks its playing around with on the hills of Ocotillo Wells, California. In the clip below, you’ll see more of the little 911 that could – ripping up the Glamis Sand Dunes with a pair of massive paddle tires on the rear:

We’re guessing that Travis doesn’t bother getting his Porsche washed.
