When Scion announced the new FR-S (aka, the Toyota 86), the Japanese tuning shop Bulletproof Automotive decided to create a supercar version of the car. Teaming up with Powerhouse Amuse, the created a supercar that is intended to be driven hard on the track all day then taken home on city streets.

Power House Amuse president Hitoshi Matsui discusses how the team approached the modifications to the vehicle, from the new turbochargers to the exhaust system, the sports seats, and the aerodynamic modifications. The Concept One is currently producing around 400 horsepower, but the team expects to get it to around 500 by boosting the turbocharger.

Maiham Media was there as the Concept One prepared to be tested at the famed Tsukuba Circuit in Japan. Watch as the car sets a quicker lap time than a Porsche GT3 RS and a Corvette ZR1, tying the time of a Ferrari 458 Italia.
