The Range Rover Sport SVR is set to be offer pinnacle of performance for the Land Rover line. Developed by JLR’s Special Vehicle Operations team, the vehicle is powered by a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine that pushes out 550 horsepower, and 501 lb.-ft. of torque, and can launch it from 0-to-60 mph in just 4.5 seconds.

In this brief clip, Jaguar Land Rover engineer Mike Cross describes the impressive stability and balance baked into the chassis and drivetrain of the sport-focused Range Rover, as the SUV deftly maneuvers the Rockingham track with neither traction or stability control engaged. It’s an impressive demonstration of just how well the vehicle handles, even with the electronic nannies turned off.
