Ask muscle car fans of the ’60s what car they would go back and buy if they had a time machine, and many of them would say the Yenko Camaro. Made from 1967 to 1969, the original car was a beast, and is extremely rare, making it very expensive today. These days, Specialty Vehicle Engineering has dibs on the Yenko name and it has announced that the 2019 Yenko/SC Stage II Camaro can be ordered through Chevy dealers.
SVE custom builds a gigantic 6.8-liter LT1 V8 engine and slips in updated components to handle the boost from a gigantic supercharger. The result is a car that makes 1000 hp and should be a demon at the strip. Each of the cars is built on either the 1SS or 2SS Camaro with the 1LE package. That means loads of performance parts from the factory, including Magnetic Ride Control and enhanced cooling.
Only 25 lucky buyers will get the chance to own one of these rides and each will be numbered with a manufacturer’s certificate of origin. Pricing is unannounced, but if you have to ask…
