Working BMW Transformer: Robots in Disguise

One of the more incredible custom car builds I’ve ever seen has to be this BMW from Letrons. It looks just like a regular BMW when parked, but then opens up to form a giant mech, just like a Transformer.

Unfortunately, the car isn’t big enough to hold a human driver or passenger, but it does drive using a remote control. It would be so amazing if you could fit inside of this thing, and then pilot the mech once it transforms. Oh well, we can’t have everything.

Its Ankara, Turkey based builders say they started with an actual car, then modified it heavily to add the transforming and remote-control functionalities. It transforms using a combination of hydraulic cylinders and motors, along with a custom controller unit. Be sure to watch the video clips below to see this amazing build in action:

It took the team of 16 about 8 months to create this impressive transforming car.  The company apparently has plans to build more of these, and will make them available for sale assuming the client has the money and meets their guidelines for usage (which I assume doesn’t include adding rocket launchers.)
