Porsche has unveiled the 2019 911 Carrera Cabriolet, the drop-top version of the venerable Porsche 911. The new car gets the same lines as the new 911 Carrera that recently debuted. The cabrio has a fully-automatic soft top that can be opened or closed at speeds up to 31 mph.
It also gets new roof hydraulics that reduced opening time to about 12 seconds. An electrically extendable wind deflector helps reduce air that hits the driver and passenger. Like the coupe, power for the Cabrio comes via a six-cylinder boxer engine that makes 443 hp and 390 lb-ft. of torque.
Porsche will offer the car in Carrera S rear-wheel drive and a Carrera 4S with all-wheel drive. The S can hit 62 mph in 3.9 seconds in normal form and in 3.7-seconds with the Sport Chrono package. Top speed for both S models is 190 mph. The 4S has a top speed of 189 mph, and does 0-62 mph in 3.6 seconds with the Sport Chrono package. Pricing is unannounced at this time.
