2022 BMW M5 CS Sedan Packs 627 Horsepower and Seats Four

BMW has unveiled the 2022-exclusive M5 CS Sedan. The vehicle is built on the M5 Competition bringing even more performance and style to BMW fans. The sports sedan is powered by a BMW S63 4.4-liter M TwinPower Turbo V8 engine producing 627 horsepower and 553 lb-ft. of torque.

The engine redlines at 7200 rpm and utilizes high-pressure direct fuel injection and liquid-to-air intercooling for the twin turbos. Power goes to the road via a rear-biased M xDrive all-wheel-drive system and an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission. Other special touches include exclusive front seats and dual bucket seats in the rear.

BMW also fits the car with a dual-branch, electronic flap-controlled sport exhaust system with four stainless-steel tips. The exhaust tone characteristics can be changed depending on the selected driving mode with Efficient, Sport, and Sport +. Users can also use the M Sound button to soften the exhaust tone when they want to fly under the radar.

The car rolls on a specially tuned suspension system and can be fitted with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires at no cost. Standard on the car is Dynamic Damper Control and M Servotronic staring with selectable drive modes. Carbon-ceramic brakes are also standard, along with lots of carbon fiber touches on the exterior. The 2022 M5 BMW CS Sedan will be available to purchase in the second half of 2021 with an MSRP of $142,000 plus a $995 destination charge.
